Using Links

A link allows you to connect a field in one display with related information in another display, and may be:

• From a menu choice to another menu.
• From a menu choice to a view.
• To alternative details for a specific resource within the same view set.
• To related resources, for example, from task to transaction, in another view set.
• To display data from another web server, normally displayed in a new window.

The way that link fields are displayed depends on your browser. Typically, they are highlighted; usually by being underlined and in a different color from the rest of the text.

Link fields are defined using the View Editor.

To action a link, click the link field.
